The Dutch Robotic Bird: Innovation Inspired by Nature

Invented by Dutch innovator Robert j. Musters, the Dutch Robotic Bird (Avibird) offers a sustainable and highly effective solution for bird control. Designed to mimic the appearance and behaviour of a natural bird of prey, it safely deters pest birds without harming them.

The Robotic Bird is successfully used at airports to reduce the risk of bird strikes, enhancing aviation safety. It is also deployed at landfills, where it helps prevent large gatherings of gulls and other birds, reducing nuisance and improving site management.

In agricultural areas, the Robotic Bird protects crops by keeping flocks away, helping farmers reduce crop losses in an environmentally friendly way.

Unlike traditional bird deterrent methods, birds do not  become accustomed to the Robotic Bird, making it an effective, long-lasting, and durable solution. This Dutch innovation demonstrates how technology and nature can work together.

It also flies as a symbol of Dutch ingenuity: a future in which technology does not stand opposed to nature, but rather collaborates with it.

In addition, robot birds can be made specifically for customers or can be flown by the Roflight team on location.
